New funded PhD studentship to strengthen the YEAH! multicentre trial
Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) is providing further support to the EU-funded YEAH! project by funding a new PhD studentship dedicated to the project’s multicentre trial.
The successful candidate will focus on designing and delivering the trial of the YEAH! co-created coached intervention across seven European countries — Scotland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, Romania and Denmark. The role offers significant scope for publications and career networking alongside some of the world’s leading health psychologists and behaviour scientists, contributing directly to the rigorous evaluation of YEAH!’s person-centred approach to improving children’s and adolescents’ wellbeing.
The studentship will suit a candidate with a background in behavioural, nutrition, psychology, health or sports science. It is a 3-year full-time PhD programme starting 1 October 2026, supervised by Professor Sebastien Chastin, Dr Bryan McCann and Dr Giuliana Longworth.
The opportunity is fully funded for UK/Home students (subject to progress), covering Home student fees plus an annual stipend at the UKRI rate of £21,805 from October 2026. Please note that, owing to funding and visa restrictions, this studentship is open to UK/Home students only.
