What is Co-creation in YEAH!?

YEAH! is a Horizon Europe research and innovation project dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children and adolescents across Europe. At the heart of YEAH! lies co-creation: a participatory process that brings together young people, families, schools, municipalities, researchers, and local organisations to design interventions that are both scientifically sound and locally relevant.

Through a network of Co-creation Laboratories established in seven European countries, we ensure that interventions are not only based on evidence, but also shaped by the needs, priorities, and realities of the communities where they will be implemented.

Why do we need municipalities as partners?

Municipalities play a central role in creating environments that support healthy behaviours among children and adolescents. From access to green spaces, to safe mobility, to inclusive community programmes, local authorities directly influence the daily lives of young people.

By becoming a YEAH! partner municipality, you will:

  • Take part in co-creation workshops where local stakeholders and young people help design the YEAH! intervention.

  • Contribute to the testing and implementation of innovative strategies that promote physical activity, healthy eating, quality sleep, and reduced sedentary behaviours.

  • Help ensure that interventions are tailored to the social and environmental context of your community.

  • Be part of a European network of pioneering municipalities committed to reducing health inequalities among youth.

Focus on France

In France, we are currently recruiting municipalities to join the YEAH! co-creation process. Selected municipalities will collaborate with the research team from the Université Grenoble Alpes and local facilitators to design and test interventions adapted to their specific needs.

This collaboration will not only support local youth, but also provide valuable insights for the large-scale deployment of the intervention planned for 2026 across Europe.

Join us!

If your municipality is interested in partnering with YEAH! and contributing to healthier, more equitable futures for young people, we would love to hear from you.

Together, let’s co-create healthier environments for the next generation.
