The Key Role of Tanguy Eveno and Massimo Bidussi in the Development of the European Project YEAH!

The European project YEAH! would not have come to life without the involvement of two individuals who were essential to its development: Tanguy Eveno and Massimo Bidussi, both research project officers within the RePSO team at Université Grenoble Alpes. With complementary skill sets, they contributed at every key stage of the proposal process and remain actively involved in the project today.

Their work began during the Stage 2 application phase of the Horizon Europe programme. Together, they:

  • Structured the overall budget and coordinated financial requests from the 16 partner institutions within the consortium;

  • Led the administrative and methodological writing of the final 50-page proposal;

  • Facilitated collaboration with an external consultant specialized in European Commission requirements to maximize the project’s chances of success;

  • Managed communications with the Project Officer to address reviewers’ comments and ensure the project’s ethical compliance.

Their contribution was also crucial during the grant agreement preparation phase and the first amendment to the project, which involved integrating new partners (including a french start-up and the UGA’s technology transfer subsidiary, Floralis) while maintaining the balance of the original design.

Tanguy brings in-depth expertise in European projects with strong clinical components, while Massimo has a thorough knowledge of Marie Skłodowska-Curie-type funding schemes. For YEAH!, they worked as a tandem team, jointly handling strategic decisions and operational follow-up.

Their technical support, extensive experience with Horizon Europe funding, and ability to coordinate 16 international partners were key assets that helped YEAH! become one of the few proposals selected for funding out of more than 120 applications.

A determining factor, without which this ambitious project would not have taken shape.
